stances I consider that the assistance in money and lend

recommended above is fully justified. It may become a

question whether the Government should not revive the

contribution to the Fund if it continues to be inadequate

to meet the expenditure on the Force.

9. I have provided a sum of $1000

in the Ertinates for 1901, and I have now to ask your au-

thority to make the grant of the site for the Watch house.
